Member Rules: Terms of Use
Remote Work (Barbados) Inc. co-working space, Haymans Factory, St. Peter
Effective 7 August 2026 · Last updated 7 August 2026
These terms govern the four membership privileges described on our Co-working page. They apply in addition to our general Membership Terms. Where the two conflict, these terms govern the privilege in question.
1. General
1.1 "Member" means a person holding a current, paid monthly membership. "the Space" means the Remote Work Barbados co-working premises at Haymans Factory. "RWB", "we" and "us" mean Remote Work (Barbados) Inc.
1.2 Privileges are available to Members in good standing: membership paid to date and no unresolved breach of these terms.
1.3 Privileges are personal to the Member. They cannot be sold, transferred, shared, or assigned to another person or business.
1.4 Privileges do not accrue. An unused month's privilege does not carry into the next month.
1.5 All privileges requiring a booking are subject to availability and to RWB's approval. We may decline or reschedule a booking where it conflicts with another booking, with the working needs of other Members, or with the requirements of Haymans Factory.
1.6 Day-pass holders and trial visitors do not receive these privileges.
2. Guest Privilege
2.1 A Member may bring one (1) guest per calendar month to use the Space for a single day at no charge.
2.2 The Member must be present in the Space for the duration of the guest's visit. A guest may not use the Space alone.
2.3 The guest is entitled to the same working facilities as the Member for that day, excluding 24/7 keyless access.
2.4 The same individual may be brought as a guest once. Subsequent visits by that person are charged at the standard daily drop-in rate.
2.5 Unused guest visits do not roll over, accumulate, or convert to credit.
2.6 The Member is responsible for their guest's conduct and for any damage or loss the guest causes.
2.7 Guests must sign in on arrival and comply with these terms and with Haymans Factory's site rules.
3. Meeting Privilege
3.1 A Member may reserve the Space for a group meeting of up to four (4) people, including the Member, for up to two (2) hours.
3.2 Requests must be made at least 72 hours in advance by email to admin@remoteworkbarbados.com or by WhatsApp to (246) 821-8265. Verbal requests on the day cannot be accommodated.
3.3 Meetings run during normal working hours and must not disrupt other Members. Voices at low volume; calls and presentations kept to a low level that does not carry across the room.
3.4 RWB may decline a request, cap attendance, or ask a meeting to end early where it is affecting other Members' ability to work. This judgement rests with RWB and is final on the day.
3.5 Meeting attendees who are not Members do not count against the Member's guest allowance under clause 2, provided they are present only for the meeting and leave at its conclusion. An attendee who stays on to work is a guest under clause 2 or a drop-in under our standard rate.
3.6 Meetings are limited to two (2) per Member per month.
4. Event Privilege
4.1 A Member may book the entire Space at no charge to host an event, subject to the conditions in this clause.
4.2 The event must be free to attend. No admission fee, ticket price, donation requirement, or other charge may be made to attendees. Events selling a product or service from the room require prior written approval and may be treated as a class under clause 5.
4.3 Events are held outside normal working hours (evenings from 6:00pm, and weekends) so that use of the Space by other Members and drop-in visitors is not displaced.
4.4 Requests must be made at least fourteen (14) days in advance in writing, and must state the date, start and end times, expected attendance, format, and whether food or drink will be served.
4.5 A Member may host one (1) event per quarter.
4.6 Attendance is capped at thirteen (13) people, subject to the Space's safe capacity and any limit set by Haymans Factory.
4.7 The Member is responsible for setting up, supervising, and restoring the Space to its normal working configuration before leaving. The Space must be left clean, with all furniture returned to position and all waste removed. RWB may charge the reasonable cost of cleaning or restoration where this is not done.
4.8 The Member is responsible for any damage to the Space, its contents, or the wider Haymans Factory premises arising from their event, and for the conduct of their attendees.
4.9 Events must not breach any Haymans Factory rule, any condition of RWB's occupancy, or any applicable law, including those governing noise, the serving of alcohol, and public gatherings. Where an event involves alcohol or amplified sound, the Member must obtain RWB's written approval and any permit required.
4.10 RWB may attend, may request that the event be listed on our channels, and may photograph the event for promotional use unless the Member objects in writing beforehand.
4.11 RWB may cancel a booking where circumstances require it. We will give as much notice as we reasonably can. Our liability for a cancelled event is limited to rescheduling it.
5. Class Privilege
5.1 A Member may use the Space to deliver paid classes, workshops, or training sessions, where those sessions are listed and booked through the Remote Work Barbados website.
5.2 All bookings and payments are handled by RWB. The Member may not take direct payment from attendees for a session delivered under this clause.
5.3 Revenue from a session is shared seventy percent (70%) to the Member and thirty percent (30%) to RWB, calculated on net receipts after payment processing fees.
5.4 RWB pays the Member's share within fourteen (14) days of the session taking place.
5.5 RWB handles refunds and cancellations by attendees under our published refund policy. Refunded amounts are deducted from the revenue share for that session.
5.6 Proposals must be submitted in writing at least twenty-one (21) days before the intended date, and must include the session title, description, duration, attendance cap, and proposed price. RWB has sole discretion over whether to list a session, and over its scheduling.
5.7 Classes are scheduled so as not to displace ordinary working use of the Space. Working-hours slots are granted at RWB's discretion.
5.8 Attendees have access to the Space for the duration of the session only. Access outside that window is charged at the standard daily drop-in rate.
5.9 The Member is solely responsible for the content, quality, and delivery of their session, for holding any licence, certification, or insurance their subject matter requires, and for their own tax obligations on income earned.
5.10 RWB may promote a listed class through our website, email list, and social channels, and may use the Member's name, likeness, and session materials for that purpose.
5.11 Either party may decline to run a future session for any reason. Sessions already booked by attendees will be honoured or refunded.
6. Suspension and Changes
6.1 We may suspend or withdraw a Member's privileges where these terms are breached, where a privilege is being used in a way that undermines the working environment, or where membership fees are outstanding. Suspension of privileges does not suspend or refund membership itself.
6.2 We may amend these terms. Material changes take effect thirty (30) days after we notify Members by email. Bookings already confirmed are honoured under the terms in force when they were made.
6.3 Privileges end when membership ends. Bookings held by a Member whose membership lapses are cancelled.
7. Liability
7.1 Members and their guests, meeting attendees, event attendees, and class attendees use the Space at their own risk.
7.2 RWB is not liable for loss of or damage to personal property brought into the Space.
7.3 Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
